Welcome to Colorado’s Home. The Governor’s Residence at the Boettcher Mansion is a special place where visitors can experience the legacies of Colorado’s historic and contemporary leaders, as well as the elegance and charm of this iconic home.
The house was built in 1908 by one of Colorado's leading and most successful pioneer families. The Cheesman's created a unique place in which we now share Colorado history and showcase the state’s diverse cultural legacy.
Many voices from the past speak to us of Colorado's place in our nations's history. Since 1960 the state's Governor's and their families have called this historic treasure their home and their "home away from home".
As Colorado’s White House, the Residence is a powerful place to participate in and explore history as it is being made. Students experience being part of this legacy—and learn that they can affect Colorado’s present and future.
The Residence opens its doors to multigenerational visitors and offers year-round programs and events. Please join us at "Colorado's Home" and become part of the story.
